Hey Dan — thanks so much for sharing. Your story illustrates how hard working entreprenuerially can be, regardless of if your starting a startup or trying to travel and work remotely.

I went $120k into credit card debt running my first startup, it was super scary as a 27 yr old to risk my financial future that way. At the same time it taught me what risk meant and I showed myself that I had the grit and determination to build a successful company. i was fortunate to be able to pay it off when I sold the company, even though I basically just paid off the debt, I considered it a huge personal win.

This is a cautionary tale, but as you mentioned, one that is healthy to discuss. You’re managing it well, and you’ll pay it back i have no doubt and have tons of success beyond!
