How I discover and listen to great music

I was asked today how I get my music online. Here are my recommendations:

• KCRW Music — great eclectic mix — My favorite station in the world from when I lived in LA. I listen all day at work

• WWOZ — New Orleans music mix — Especially good Saturday night DJ’s. 6–8pm Brice Nice, 8–10pm Soul Sister. Check out the funk.

• Hype Machine — a music blog aggregator & search engine — love listening to the radio or “spy”. I discover my hot new gems on here.

• Pandora Radio — radio stations you create based on artists you like — good for getting music for a particular “mood” you’re in. Just released a desktop player.
