My goal is to be as open and engaging as possible
Last week, we launched Flow State Industries. To great fanfare! Welp, it felt great to hear from some of you, more on that in a sec.
And like often happens after doing the work for a big launch, the question now is: What's next?
Communicating with you, our community, is our “what’s next” strategy. My goal is to be as open and engaging as possible. Writing as me, Chris, the founder, not sending generic marketing messages.
I’ve started a few companies over the last 30 years (the tally was 31 LLCs at the time of my divorce 10 years ago 🤦) To me, the most interesting thing to follow is when founders bring you into their journey.
Last week, we had a call with our first Flow State Industries lead. A friend who I used to work with reached out to talk about his ideas for NFTs, the metaverse, and major brands wanting to jump into the Web3 market. Ryan and I both spent the next 24hrs feeling inspired and conjuring up creative campaigns. It felt good to get a major player reacting to what we're creating with Flow State.
At one point in the conversation, I found myself talking about what we weren’t good at. After the call, I recognized the self-defeating headspace I was in. Wait a second, this is a new, versatile company with access to some of the best talent in the world, why am I letting imposter syndrome sneak in? We can do anything we put our mind to.
Flow State Industries is a talent platform. We have a wide network of technical, creative, and strategic talent at our fingertips. I mean, I’m surrounded by talent, my wife Anne is a strategic advisor to Web3 companies like Protocol Labs and Sealance. So, yes, we can do that.
Speaking of talent … I’m looking for some help.
I have an artist friend who reached out for help launching his NFT collection. I loved reading Gil Hildebrand’s post about creating real NFT utility. If you’ve been part of a successful NFT airdrop art launch, I’d love to chat with you. Please reply to this email.
Anything I've done, when it's been at its best, is about building real community. So, I’ll keep writing, and would love to hear directly from you, come say “hi” in Discord or just hit reply.
