Starlight Grove, new beginnings & an invitation to Cosmico 2025

A Season of Change, Resilience, and the Magic of Gathering Together

I hope your 2025 is off to a great start! We’re enjoying wintertime by the creek up here in Healdsburg, watching the water rise as the next round of rain moves in this weekend.

I wanted to share an update—especially for those of you who have stayed with us before—about one of our properties, Starlight Grove.

A Major Storm & Our Path Forward

This past December, Sonoma County saw an immense amount of rain. Unfortunately, on December 17, a large oak tree in our backyard fell, crashing through the roof and the floorboards of the house. Thankfully, no one was inside at the time—though Anne was in the sauna next door, which made for quite a scare.

We’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude that everyone was safe, including our family and the guests who were set to arrive the next day. Now, we’re working closely with our insurance company and beginning the rebuilding process. Starlight Grove holds so many memories for us—and for many of you—and we’re fully committed to restoring it and welcoming guests back as soon as it’s ready.

Looking Ahead: Where You Can Stay This Year

Many of you have reached out about booking Starlight Grove for 2025, and while we aren’t able to offer it just yet, we do have a few options available:

• El Cosmico (Healdsburg, CA) – We’re currently living at El Cosmico, just next door, but we’ll be listing it for rent this summer. July and August dates are already available for booking while we travel.

• Casa del Arte (Todos Santos, Mexico) – If Baja is calling you this spring, we’d love to host you at our newest property! We’ve spent the past two years renovating this home, and it’s now available for rent.

• New Direct Booking Website – To make things easier, we’ve set up a direct booking site at Analog Properties, especially helpful for Casa del Arte.

An Invitation to Cosmico – Our Backyard Festival Grown Big

If you remember the stage in our backyard where we’ve hosted concerts, you know how much we love bringing people together through music. Cosmico started right there more than five years ago, and it has since grown into a three-day festival in Sonoma County, running May 16-18 in Guerneville.

We run the festival through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The Launch Pad Foundation, and we’d love to invite you to join us this year.
