Good morning friends! We’re excited to share an update about Cosmico today with you about the Cosmico Sound as it evolves and comes into focus for this year.

The Cosmico Sound

In California, where the sun meets the sea and the redwoods stand tall, music is the seat of our soul. The Cosmico Sound is a feeling that moves you - it’s an expression of love, the embodiment of California cool, and the rhythm that lifts your feet and sends your spirit soaring. 

This year, the Cosmico Sound will take you on a sonic journey throughout the weekend, elevating the spirit, inspiring dance, and raising our collective vibration. Weaving a tapestry from the sacred hymns of The Great American Songbook to bluegrass, psychedelic rock to dance and electronic music, the sound is a living force, and the weekend will embody the spirit of Music is Love. 

Cosmico is the sound of California— combining the past and the future, where familiar tunes blend with the thrill of discovery. The Cosmico Sound channels the analog warmth of a Marantz system spinning vinyl in our cabin in the woods. Music here is a celebration and the common thread that unites us all, drawing from the California ethos of freedom, creativity, and connection.

Shaping the 2025 Cosmico Lineup

This summer you, the Cosmico community, graciously contributed to our Cosmico Lineup Radar Playlist. Your suggestions have opened my ears to new bands, and trust me, I’ve listened to every track. From the playlist, to your comments, to the tips sent my way in texts—thank you. Applause all around.

The booking journey is officially underway, and we’re inviting artists to join us at Cosmico next May. We hope you’ll love experiencing the lineup as much as we’re loving creating it. Discovery is at the heart of Cosmico—uncovering new music that you will love, whether it’s from a familiar name or a band that’s about to become your new favorite.

As you may know, Cosmico is produced by the Launch Pad Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building stronger communities. Beyond the festival, we’ve been proud to support the Sonoma County community this year by acting as the fiscal sponsor for local organizations like the Healdsburg Dance Collective, Trip the Light Fantastic, and Peptoc.

Last month, we published our Cosmico Impact Report, showcasing our commitment to transparency and community impact.

Two weeks ago, a member of the Cosmico family introduced herself and shared how much she loved this past year’s festival.

“We’ve been waiting for a psychedelic music festival in Sonoma County for years,” she said, “and now we have one. I’m telling all my friends we have to support this.”

Her words truly moved me, and I couldn’t agree more—yes, please, bring all your friends along next year!

Introducing the Cosmico Artist Benefactor Program 

We’re excited to announce a new way for the Cosmico community to get involved in 2025. Some of you have raised the idea of sponsoring a band, whether it’s a headliner or a supporting act. If there’s a band you’re passionate about, or if you have connections with an artist you’d love to see at Cosmico, now is your chance to help make it happen. Please reach out to us at chris@cosmi.co and anne@cosmi.co to get involved.

By becoming a benefactor through the Launch Pad Foundation, you can help us underwrite our lineup or, if it fits with our vision, a specific band and help personally contribute to the Cosmico Sound. As a patron of our festival you’ll get unique perks like artist dinners, and backstage passes! 

As a 501(c)(3) charity, your contribution may be tax-deductible. You can of support your favorite band and help build community, all while receiving a tax benefit.

The Launch Pad Foundation also accepts donations through Fidelity Donor-Advised Funds, and with October 10th being DAF Day, it’s a meaningful time to contribute in support of Cosmico and our mission of bringing people together through music.
